Upper Saddle River NJ, Saturdays Upper Saddle River Police issued a crime alert . In a Facebook post the Upper Saddle River Police said :

Today, 6/18/2022, between the hours of 2 A.M. and 3 A.M. the town of Upper Saddle River had multiple attempted motor vehicle thefts/burglaries.
Two unlocked vehicles were entered, and one unlocked vehicle that had the key fob inside of it was successfully stolen. Shortly after being taken the stolen vehicle became disabled, was abandoned by the suspects, and has been located/recovered.
Our community has been victimized by car thieves and car burglars for years. As of late these thefts are becoming more prolific and the criminals more brazen. We do not want to equate the thefts to a business, but like in a business, if there is no supply people will go elsewhere for the product. We can all do our part in bringing the supply down by locking our cars and by bringing the key fobs into our houses. The Upper Saddle River police department again will be participating in the 9 P.M. Routine reminders to remove valuables from your vehicles, lock your vehicle doors, lock the doors to your residences, turn on exterior lights and activate all alarms and security systems.
Please realize that these vehicles that are stolen are being utilized in violent crimes throughout our state and surrounding states. We live in one of the safest communities. Let’s all work together to keep it that way.
THANK YOU!
