In all likelihood, this meeting will NOT be televised, nor available via UStream.
The agenda item below may be of particular interest as discussion could reveal whether a resolution to remove the current Village Manager from office will actually be voted on during tonight’s scheduled Public Meeting (which begins at 8:00 PM).
6. Discussion of August 14, 2013 Agenda
OK, Mr. Mayor, can you please tell us why you have suddenly scheduled a meeting that most people will not have time to find out about??????? Hiding something?????
What is being discussed that someone on the Council does not wish to have televised?
There is no reason to have scheduled this meeting other than to avoid the television cameras and sound system that will be present during tonight’s 8:00 PM meeting.
Transparency my ass!
Will the start of the 8 pm regular meeting be televised? The TV operators will then come on duty don’t they?
Has an interim Manager been selected temporarily and a search started for a new one?
The meeting was a spectacle. Hauck said she voted to sack the VM ” with her heart”. That is quite a statement especially since this is a personnel matter. The pile on was when former fire chief Bombace skewered Gabbert because Gabbert did not make Bombace’s choice the new chief. Bombace neglected to mention that Bombace’s recommendation was his brother, Mark Bombace. The VM gets fired so Jim Bombace piles on because he didn’t hire his brother. Amazing.
There’s too much Bombace DNA that is still on the Village payroll.
“There’s too much Bombace DNA that is still on the Village payroll.” Or collecting a pension.
