Launched on November 28th, the “Media Bias” page directly reflects President Donald Trump’s long-standing hostility toward critical media coverage, listing specific outlets and journalists and even ranking them in a “Hall of Shame.”

Fact-Checking the Press: ‘Truth’ vs. ‘Violation’

The new platform is highly detailed, serving as a comprehensive ledger of alleged media inaccuracies. For each entry, the White House provides:

• Specific Media Report: The title and source of the alleged biased story.

• Journalist Name: The correspondent involved is named in full.

• Alleged “Violation”: The nature of the bias (e.g., “biased,” “lie,” “omission of context”).

• The Trump Administration’s Rebuttal: Labeled as “Truth” and “Key Points.”

For instance, the page accused the Boston Globe, CBS News, and The Independent of distorting the President’s call for accountability into a demand for “execution,” countering with the “Truth” that all presidential orders were lawful.

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated the move is an effort to hold “biased media accountable,” asserting, “The Trump White House is holding fake news accountable more than ever.”

The ‘Hall of Shame’ Rankings

The site features a prominent “Hall of Shame” section, which categorizes “fake news” reports under inflammatory labels like “left-wing lunacy” and “lie.”

A ranking table, based on the frequency of alleged violations, spotlights outlets deemed the most egregious offenders:

White House deputy advisor Kaelin Doer promoted the launch on X (formerly Twitter), warning, “If you’re misleading or biased, be prepared to be exposed.”

Despite the direct confrontation, President Trump has continued his highly active engagement with reporters, holding impromptu, lengthy press Q&A sessions both domestically and internationally—a frequency rarely seen in previous administrations.
