Minneapolis MN, A tense standoff between federal and local officials has erupted following the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in South Minneapolis.

While local leaders call for accountability, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem has doubled down on the federal narrative, labeling the mother of two a “domestic terrorist” and asserting that the officer acted in justified self-defense.

The DHS Narrative: “Weaponized” Vehicles and Agitation

According to Secretary Noem, the shooting occurred after a day-long escalation. Noem informed reporters that Good was part of a “mob of agitators” that had been allegedly stalking and impeding agents throughout the city.

The DHS claims the situation turned deadly when Good allegedly used her car as a weapon.

“The officer was defending himself and other agents who feared they would be run down,” Noem stated during a Wednesday morning press conference. “She weaponized her vehicle.”

A Divide in Leadership: Walz vs. Noem

The federal stance has met significant resistance from Minnesota’s top officials. Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have both pushed back forcefully, questioning the use of deadly force in a residential neighborhood.

The friction between state and federal authorities was palpable. Noem acknowledged a private conversation with Governor Walz—a former colleague from their time in Congress—noting that the two remain at a total impasse.

  • Federal View: Justified self-defense against a high-threat agitator.

  • State View: Skepticism regarding the necessity of lethal force and the “terrorist” designation.

Heartbreaking Footage Surfaces

As the political debate intensifies, a “gut-wrenching” video has surfaced from the scene. In the footage, a woman identifying herself as Good’s wife is seen covered in blood near the wreckage of the car.

Through hysterical sobs, the woman can be heard blaming herself for the tragedy, telling a neighbor, “I made her come down here… they just shot my wife.” ### What’s Next? Secretary Noem confirmed that the FBI will lead the investigation into the incident. While she maintains that the agent is an experienced officer who followed standard training protocols, the growing discrepancy between witness accounts, video evidence, and the official DHS report ensures that this case will remain under a national microscope.

  1. The “truth” normally resides somewhere in the middle, but in this country we only have our tribal opinions. The officer could have moved aside and avoided being hit, and the driver could have stopped her car and listened to lawful commands.

I suggest you shouldn’t spend your day driving a 2 ton vehicle around harassing ICE officers. It might lead to a dangerous confrontation, but maybe that was your plan. The wife was outside capturing the confrontation on video. Her videos from that day might be interesting to see.

  2. Once again, the cause lies with Democrat narrative and the leftist media. A condition of mass hysteria has been created and many people have bought into the belief that these ICE operations are illegal.
