Fair Lawn NJ, A tragic incident late Wednesday night has left the Fair Lawn community seeking answers. Local authorities and NJ Transit Police are currently investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian on the Bergen County Line.
Incident Details: What We Know
Just before midnight on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, Bergen County Line train #1183 was traveling westbound when it struck a female pedestrian. According to NJ Transit officials, the incident occurred just west of Morlot Avenue in Fair Lawn.
The train had originally departed from Hoboken at 11:17 p.m. and was en route to Suffern, NY, with a scheduled arrival of 12:24 a.m.
