Wyckoff NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of MATTHEW PLOTKIN (DOB: 08/01/1989; single; massage therapist) of Wyckoff, New Jersey, on charges of Sexual Assault. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Allendale Police Department under the direction of Chief George Scherb.
On Sunday, March 31, 2019, the Allendale Police received information that Matthew PLOTKIN engaged in sexual activity with an individual without consent while giving a massage at the Hand and Stone Spa in Allendale. As a result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Allendale Police Department, Matthew PLOTKIN was arrested on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 and charged with one count of Sexual Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(1), a crime of the 2nd degree. PLOTKIN is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 9:00 AM.
Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the Allendale Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
