Demarest, NJ – July 23, 2025 – A 14-year-old girl was seriously injured after being hit by a school bus at a busy Demarest intersection on Tuesday morning, authorities confirmed.
The Demarest Police Department responded to the accident at Anderson Avenue and County Road around 8:45 a.m., according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
The teen, whose identity has not been released, was airlifted to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

Officials from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Bergen County Fatal Accident Task Force joined Demarest police in a joint investigation at the scene.
