Wood-ridge NJ, What started as a routine car fire quickly escalated into an emergency situation in Bergen County this afternoon, triggering a massive response from local first responders.
At 1:29 PM, the Wood-Ridge Fire Department was dispatched to 16 Veterans Drive following reports of a vehicle fire. However, the situation deteriorated rapidly within moments.
Car Fire Upgraded to Structure Fire
As the flames aggressively spread from the vehicle to the adjacent building, dispatchers urgently upgraded the incident to a working structure fire.

The exact cause of the initial fire is currently under active investigation by the Bureau of Fire Prevention.
