SUV Crashed Into Same Wendy’s In June
September 3, 2015 11:18 PM
PARAMUS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — Two vehicles crashed into each other, and then both slammed into a Wendy’s in Paramus, New Jersey late Thursday.
As CBS2’s Tony Aiello reported, the very same restaurant was also hit by a car back in June.
Workers late Thursday night were examining a support beam put in place to shore up the damaged restaurant, after the minivan and car crashed into it.
The drivers were both headed east on Route 4 near the Paramus Road exit just before 5 p.m. Thursday – on of them behind the wheel of a car, the other a minivan, Paramus police said.
Witnesses said the driver of the red Toyota Corolla was trying to get into the Wendy’s parking lot when it cut off the minivan, sending them both into the Wendy’s at 190 Highway 4, police told 1010 WINS.
Photos showed both vehicles jumped the curb and the minivan ended up inside the Wendy’s.

And when it’s a ballfield full of kids alongside Route 17–how’s that going to turn out? Oh goody–Ridgewood can be on TV again.
Went there in the wee hours that night for a burger. They are normally open so bloody late it’s ridiculous. That night, the place was dark and deserted–closed for safety reasons by the authorities, long stretches of police tape strewn about. What an unpleasant surprise–but what can one do? Sometimes the show can’t go on. Did either of the drivers get hurt?
Ironically, earlier that day the front glass that was previously boarded up from an early crash this summer was replaced with new glass.
Heard the sirens whilst on the bikepath….they both missed the drive-thru window by a considerable distance.
Perhaps they were from distant lands whose ways are different than ours and they misinterpreted the concept of a drive-through window…
Let’s reduce the speed on Route 4 to 25mph.
Better safe than sorry.
Do it fer da kidz
Route. 3 to the sorting lanes of 208 north past 17 north exit merging traffic to far right lanes stores and paramus rd rwood exit all happens when a hyway all of a sudden has stores and small driveways to far right. Its exeleration vs the driveway routed cars entering exiting at or vs hyway speed need to put in a local only divided lane wall despite tight space. Next victims might be routed to morgue
Why no steel bollards in place like they have at Starbucks on Route 4 in Englewood (a person killed there) and Fort Lee?
