Ridgewood NJ, with Graduation just around the corner and in keeping with recent tradition started in 2020, the RHS Alumni Association once again felt that this year’s Seniors deserve special recognition.
At sunrise Saturday morning, a group of RHS Alumni Association (RHSAA) Trustees, RHS Assistant Principal, Dave Bailey, RHS 12th Grade Advisor, Meredith Yannone, PG ‘23 Co-Chairs Pam Lobosco, Sandy Pires, and Sara Beinstein, PG ‘23 Committee Chairs, parents, friends, and family members came together to hang 448 maroon and white senior banners. These banners were hung throughout our beautiful Village to highlight, to recognize, and to celebrate each member of the RHS Class of 2023.
As former RHS students, the RHS Alumni Association wants to officially welcome our Seniors as the newest alumni into our ranks. RHS remains a pillar of excellence as shown by the academic, artistic, and athletic talents of the Class of 2023. The Seniors have proven that the RHS motto “Tradition of Excellence” is thriving, enduring, and resilient. Indeed, these Seniors have proven time and again that perseverance, compassion, and kindness are hallmarks of the Class of 2023.
Between now and Graduation Day, we’ve asked our Seniors to walk though Ridgewood to locate their banner, take a photo, share with family and friends and post on social media using the hashtag #RHSClassof2023. These banners have been randomly hung on fences in high traffic areas at RHS (facing East Ridgewood Avenue), Stevens Field (facing Irving Street), BF Middle School (facing Glen Avenue), GW Middle School (on Monroe Street facing Citizens Park), and Graydon Park (facing both Linwood and Maple Avenues), and will remain hanging through June 30th.
