This is a waste of taxpayer funds – where is the outrage? Mayor Knudsen and Council majority are raising expensive municipal debt to pay for this just as interest rates rise. Which means higher interest payments down the road for Village taxpayers. To buy a property in the CBD for a corrupt, crony led failed Ridgewood Water? There is no doubt that this is a black hole of greed and corruption. Driven by Mayor Knudsen. Why?

Common sense says “sell, sell, sell!” Ridgewood Water. It’s an inefficent black hole of waste and corruption. Time to get out of the water game.

And the police are moving their fairly new headquarters out of the center of town–why? That is an impossible place for the water company. The traffic is heavy most of the time. How are their trucks going to get out of their driveway? And what happened to the library’s grand plans for that space? Does anyone else note something smelly about this whole deal?
Sickening use of taxpayer funds. To let the cesspool that is Ridgewood Water run by someone with no experience running a water business buy a building in the CBD for $1.6mn? Sell Ridgewood Water to a professional water company like Suez and stop burdening Village taxpayers with this unfettered corruption.
Stick Ridgewood Water in the basement of Town Hall.
Next time there’s a tropical storm, they’ll feel right at home.

I thought the water company had space behind he fire house and recycling center, plus in Village Hall? This is so the RPD can build a new HQ building in Village Hall. Wonder what the quid pro quo was here? Bad plan by this Council to waste taxpayer money.
