Ridgewood NJ, Ptl. Zachary Knudsen responded to a Glenwood Road residence on the morning of September 9, to investigate the report of a motor vehicle which had been stolen overnight. The victim reported the vehicle was left unlocked, with a key in the vehicle, and the homeowner discovered the vehicle was missing in the morning. The Ridgewood Detective Bureau located the stolen vehicle in Paterson, N.J. a short time later and as a result of a joint investigation, the Paterson Police Department arrested two individuals.
stupid is as stupid does
Homeowner is either a moron or it smells like an “insurance job “.
I can only hope the perps beat the living crap out of the car and the homeowner is issued a summons for being a complete fricking moron. It’s idiots like this and the main reason why were targets…easy pickings because of someone’s recklessness .
I imagine that the insurance company might actually deny the claim due to gross negligence on the policy holder’s part.
What a “stu-nod”! Leaving a loaded gun in the car console would complete the IQ test for this idiot.
Wait until the Ginormous Garage goes in… then the cars will be stolen even if they are locked.
That’s Steve McQueen…or maybe that’s Boyd driving to the scene of a car accident….
Foe all you WASP in Ridgewood
From Italian stonato (“out of tune”). In Sicilian dialect, the word is stunatu. It is stunat’ in Neapolitan. In both of these dialects, the word has a similar meaning to this one.

I love that movie
Someday the insurance companies might wake up and refuse to pay off on these cars. They will have to write a policy for that, of course.
I am sure they have a hard time believing anyone would be dumb enough to leave cars unlocked with the keys in them. Maybe someone will steal the keys and leave the car. Then the thief would have access to the home involved. That could really hurt! Years ago our son had a beater. He constantly left the keys in the car, and no-one ever stole it!
