Previous Village Councils failed to listen when residents said:
1. Don’t build the new fire headquarters in a flood zone (during Tropical Storm Floyd, the building was inaccessible).
2. Don’t rebuild Village Hall in a flood zone (the renovated building flooded within 30 days of its grand opening and has flooded on several occasions since).
3. Don’t approve the construction of high density housing in the Central Business District (still waiting to see what happens, but we think we know – disaster).
So what makes anyone think that this Village Council is going to listen to reason. Take it to the bank, THEY WILL NOT LISTEN TO REASON. COUNCILS NEVER DO.

  1. So it doesn’t matter who we vote for. They all get comsumed with power and greed in the end. Good to know.

  2. Susan and Mike need to come out against the garage to have a hope in hell of winning this election. Don’t be like Killion and misread the intensity of the electorate.

  3. They all have personal agendas and push selfish items. Some large examples

In what world could an ex mayor arrange to to appointed to village judge with no experience at all bypassing qualified candidates In what world could one family of the mayor all be appointed to village police and fire and the mayor never recuse from key policy decisions In what world can executives be appointed to a water company with no experience and consistently be unable to deliver the required product when needed

The garage, apartments, schools, etc are all overloaded with political hacks

When you look into this it really is awful and many people just don’t want to see it

  4. They are going to do whatever they would like.

  5. 12:46 That is probably a true fact but it’s an awfully despairing attitude. The only way any change will occur is if the taxpayers and other residents come out against it. For some reason the current council can’t seem to see the people around them or hear the complaints being made. We still have to try. When you are knocked down, you have to get up and try again. We know they are not the 3 monkeys who can hear, see, or say no evil. I admit, it seems like it but nothing will ever be gained if we don’t continue to try.
