Ridgewood NJ, Dr. Fishbein also presented information on the process for district capital projects. Dr. Fishbein addressed “rumors ” of a spending referendum.

Rumors: Referendum Will Take Place Soon ● We do have facility needs. There are no plans to have a referendum during the 2018-2019 school year. ● The RBOE looks at their facility needs yearly ○ 2015 We had EI Associates inspect our facilities ○ 2017 We had LAN Associates inspect our facilities ● Remember we make facility improvements for the students who will be attending our schools for the next 30 years. Most of the needs fell into the following areas. ○ HV and HVAC ○ Window Replacements ○ Bathroom Upgrades.

● We also included renovation to the BF library and Auditorium. BF library has not been renovated since it was built and the auditorium is in dire need of an upgrade. Additionally, we looked at a PAC at RHS and renovation if a PAC was built. ● We are not committed to any projects at this time. This work is all preliminary studies ● All costs in these studies and in the presentations I made to the RBOE were very preliminary and ranged from 60 million to 100 million depending on what was included. ● Detailed plans, in public school construction, is done once funding has been secured through a referendum, taking full advantage of any state funding, grants or debt service, that is available.
