Glen Rock NJ, The DPW will begin curbside Christmas tree pickup on Thursday, January 2, 2020. Residents asked to place their evergreen trees ONLY at curbside for daily pickups, until the deadline of January 17th, 2020. Please do not place trees in plastic bags, and make sure there are no foreign objects on the trees such as lighting, garland, decorations, etc. If you have any additional decorating items such as wreaths, garland, etc., which have wiring &/or metal fasteners, please place those items in ordinary household trash for regularly scheduled north/east & south/west collections.
Some of us find this very amusing. Some people go out and spend a large amount of money on a real tray throw it inside or on top of their expensive vehicle. Bring it home set it up inside their house, and then they throw their tree in front of their house in the street sometimes right into the snow and then take the village up to happen act up. Why don’t they throw it back in gear expensive vehicle and bring it out to recycling like summer last two and throw it into the yard waste bin. Very lazy.
Bring your trees to the recycling yard Monday through Saturday 8am to 230 pm.
I’m taking my tree down today and tomorrow I will bring it to recycling yard. I know some of my neighbors will be Crying when is the town going to pick up my tree. And I will be the first to tell them you lazy bastard bring it to the Recycling yard.
Good more of my neighbors need to do that. I don’t need to hear them crying when the town is going to pick up my tree, or it’s stuck in the snow crybabies. It’s amazing how they throw it right in the street in front of their own house so stupid. At least put it on the end of their property. It’s amazing how did the tree get to their house.People need to wake up. No they were crying all the parks department.
I’m burning mine .
We need In House Tree pickup…They should come into my house and take the tree.
.
… just like rear yard trash pickup.
.
I pay enough in taxes.
.
I totally agree catch up. I deserve it. and done with that , They can wipe my ass!
Right
I don’t have to worry about it. I have a fake one.
To my ridgewood Neighbors don’t throw your Christmas tree in the street. Put it on the end of the property.
Thank you
to the ftard who mentioned rear yard pick up. there is ZERO savings in cans on the curb. it makes the town look like shit. and the lazy residents leave their recycling containers out for 3 days after pickup. what makes you think the cans wont be out there all the time. if you like your cans on the curb move to waldwick…or back to brooklyn. its the school taxes that need to get chopped here… how about 30 kids in a class like when i went to RHS. we had better test scores than the smaller classes do today.
