Alert: No National Shutdown – This is False Information.
the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police have issued the following statement ,”There is a purposeful internet misrepresentation campaign in effect claiming an imminent national shutdown evoking the “Stafford Act.”
In fact, the Stafford Act, a law that allows the federal government to unlock resources directly to states has already been activated. Trump declared the coronavirus pandemic a national emergency on Friday, using authority granted by the law, which passed in 1988 and has been updated twice since. The Stafford Act does not have a provision that would allow the federal government to declare a mandatory quarantine.
$100 the amount of OT the RPD abd RFD bills the Village goes UP during this crisis…
So what you jealous ass.
Another low tier village employes making no sense
You sound like a real jack ass. Who is a low tier employee. And on another note The police department deserve $200 an hour you are on the front lines. So now we know you work at the police department. Great job
Greedy pigs 🐷
What front lines are cops in Ridgewood and Glen Rock on? The white collar residents are self isolating at home, so there is nobody and nothing to police.
EMS, doctors, nurses, public health officials, janitors, etc are on the front lines, they’re the heroes here.
Low tier worker? The words of a bigot! Didn’t your parents teach you to treat and respect everyone?
Who is the lower tier employee. These low tier employees should be getting paid hazard pay. At times like this they should be making more money than a cop any day of the week. Do you think any Hi dear employee will go out and pick up Sanitation and recycling. Or clean bathrooms. Doubt it very much.
Exactly. The sanitation and recycling crews and hospital janitors don’t even have protective safety gear apart from gloves & goggles. And they are actually on the front lines of this crisis alongside the EMS paramedics, doctors, nurses and public health officials, unlike the cops & fire who clearly have less traffic related incidents with everyone forced to self isolate at home. But guaranteed the OT bills from the police & fire departments will be up on the coronavirus pandemic, their unions will find ways to milk this for all its worth to their members.
