  1. Well when almost 1.5X more people have died in just in NJ (13,000 Deaths out of 9.2 million people) than the entire country of Canada (8,400 deaths out of 37.6 million people), isn’t this a good thing?

Think about those around you: the elderly, Those with compromised immune systems, those working to provide you with food, deliveries and sanitation. This is not about yourself.

  2. New Jersey got hit real hard. Back in March people thought this was going to be a joke. It was no joke. And it’s not over yet either. Look down south what’s happening. And what happens if the numbers start skyrocketing again in September. Guess why jack and Jill will be doing schoolwork from home again.

  3. It was and is just a seasonal virus.
    .
Yes a strong seasonal virus like some years of the influenza virus, but still, just a seasonal virus.
The virus (just like the seasonal influenza virus) is serious – no argument here, but the REACTION is hysterical and overdone.
    .
A more proper reaction would be to protect and isolate the at risk groups – elderly, compromised immune, etc and INFORM and EDUCATE the population on BEST PRACTICES to follow VOLUNTARILY – you know, like we do with ALL OTHER situations like this one.
    .
Instead NJ shuts down the state, forcibly puts infected people in with the at risk (elderly) and requires face masks and distancing measures whose effectivness is questionable at best.
