Midland Park Man Starts Backyard Fire to Melt Snow

Midland Park NJ, Midland Park Police and  Fire Department responded to a borough home Friday after a man tried to melt off snow and ice from his backyard by starting a  fire.

According police the man poured about half a gallon of gasoline on a small patch in his backyard with the idea to use fire to melt the snow. A neighbor reported that a man was setting things on fire in his backyard to police around 7:30 p.m.,

The Bergen County Hazmat unit was called in to assist the fire department with clean-up to the Paterson Avenue home, where they used Speedy Dry to soak up the gasoline.

  6. It’s funny how all the news press is keeping this gentleman‘s name out of the press. Wonder why. Especially when the government agencies are called in to clean up a chemical spill. Very curious, I guess it’s very embarrassing. Can you imagine if his house caught on fire, or there was a gas leak. Thank God no one got hurt.
