Ridgewood NJ, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and State Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli have recommended that New Jersey residents, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, wear masks indoors when there is an increased risk of COVID-19. This recommendation follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated guidance that included a recommendation that all individuals resume indoor masking to prevent the community spread of COVID-19.
Valley Health System will continue to adhere to New Jersey state regulations and follow the most current hospital-based protocols, continuing to mandate our mask policy. Please continue to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status, when visiting all Valley Health System facilities including, The Valley Hospital, Valley Medical Group offices, Luckow Pavilion, Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care, Valley Center for Health and Wellness, and Valley Health LifeStyles.

CDC credibility is in the negative numbers.
Leana Wen: The single biggest mistake that the Biden administration made during this entire pandemic response — and I would argue in the entire Biden presidency — was back in May when the CDC said that vaccinated people can take off their mask, but did not have proof of vaccination attached to it. And as a result, people understood the pandemic to be over them. The unvaccinated began behaving like they were vaccinated.
