Teaneck NJ, in a Facebook post Bischoff’s Ice Cream on 468 Cedar Lane Teaneck, NJ 07666 201-836-0333 has announced its closing after 88 years:
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Bischoff’s at the end of the year. Despite our valiant efforts, we are no longer able to sustain the business in the current economic climate. We are incredibly grateful for the support from friends, family, and all our patrons over the past 88 years. We now ask that you show your support by stopping by the store to share your fond memories with us and enjoy your favorite sweet treat (or two!). We hope to see you all over the next few weeks!”
Originally in NYC near the Hippodrome Theater in the late 1800’s, Bischoff’s is a fourth-generation family ice cream business. We have been in our Teaneck location since 1934. We offer an old-fashioned ice cream soda fountain experience complete with spinning stools at the counter, wait staff wearing paper hats and bow ties, and egg creams! The ice cream and all of the sauces (hot fudge, marshmallow, etc) are made by hand on the premises. We have 40 flavors including ice cream, ice milks, sugar-free ice cream, sherbet and ices. Step through our doors and step back in time.
