Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Village Council members recently received a recommendation from the Village’s Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) to introduce and approve changes to the Village Code that would prohibit the construction/installation of fences in front yards of residential properties.
Also recommend by the ZBA are changes to Village Code that would possibly require a minimum lot size and/or a maximum driveway width associated with construction of circular driveways on residential properties.

No rationale was offered for either recommendation during this past Wednesday evening’s Village Council Public Work Session., during which Village Council members heard both ZBA requests for the first time.
More details regarding both recommendations will be heard and discussed by Village Council members during their scheduled July 10. 2024 Public Work Session.
NOTE: Both photographs associated with this article are of residential properties located in Ridgewood.

The rationale is that it’s going to make the town look like shit because the circular driveways take away all of the beautiful lawn space that we need all of the water for.
Screw you it’s my property!
Is it? Try not paying your property taxes and let’s see what happens to *your* property.
Top priority!
Not fencing in front of yards
Who’s worrying about this bullshit every day it’s something else, this town is so screwed up, it’s so overrated
Still waiting for my tree…7 years and counting…
What about a wall made of stones or slate? Have they ever seen the beautiful walls in Connecticut
