How come the police department, fire department, andEMTs? Are the only departments that get recognized when there is a new hire, or a promotion.or an employee retiring everyone else gets zip. They’re shown the door seeya. Amazing. That’s why it’s not worth going above and beyond for what, morale is down in the gutter because shit like this. Talk about being lower than whale shit. I’ve seen people retire with 40 years of service and get a little baby key of the city, a little bullshit letter, OK thank you next
Hmmm perhaps these employees at the FD and PD face life threating situations daily?
They don’t get the ‘put it at the curb’ treatment you do in the snow.
Yes, I understand where you’re coming from, but the most dangerous job that OSHA says anyone working in the street, crossing gods are number one. Number two with sanitation workers three number four or employees that work with electrical lines so what you’re saying is because please on fire or dangerous straps to deserve better treatment, are you a hypocrite? What the hell is wrong with you. I really want to be treated the same. So I guess this favoritism isn’t then. Obviously.
Oh FFS! We get it. You don’t feel appreciated. You want to be treated the same?! YOU’RE NOT. Get over it. Accept it. You’ll be much happier. Or don’t you feel that performing your job faithfully is enough and is it’s own reward, but you need a damn float at the 4th of July parade, too?
Also, if this is the attitude you’re carrying over to your work environment, it just might explain a few things. Off the clock, my advice is free.
get your facts straight. the most dangerous job is surveyors
sucks working for other people dont it.
RICH and STUPID
When Evan Weitz makes comments about the budget for fire and police, it is an insult to. what these guys are up against. He has done this for 2 years now, questioning the budget proposal. I guess because spending money on ball fields with lights is more important. Priorities. I will bet Nancy Bigos gets everything she asks for.
Listen I’m all for first responders. Give them every toll that they need. Yes, they are definitely more important than any ballfield, the bullshit. What that is the big donators donate a lot of money to the sports groups. That’s what that’s all about. That’s not the issue. The issue is let’s treat every employee The same. We have some employees working 30 to 40 years that just retired and they don’t get any recognition. Some stupid letter, a little Key. Embarrassing. I’ve seen retirement parties with 50 people there or so, and they had enough of food for 10 or to screw up that was.
No.
