At approximately 5:35 AM, police were dispatched to the scene following reports of a motor vehicle accident involving a roadway collapse. According to authorities, the road gave way after a large water main ruptured, flooding the street and making the collapse nearly invisible to drivers.
The driver, fortunately, was able to self-extricate from the vehicle and sustained no injuries in the incident.
