Twp. of Washington NJ, there is an emergency road closure on Hoover Avenue between Jackson Avenue and Curtis Place due to a large tree that has fallen during the overnight hours. Currently, PSE&G and emergency crews are aware of the situation and are working to clear the roadway, which is expected to continue into the daylight hours.
As a reminder, with high winds forcasted throughout the day, additional trees and large branches may fall. In the event of a fallen tree or branch damaging a utility line, stay clear from the utility line and report the incident to the Township of Washington Police Department .
