Ridgewood NJ, In the continued effort to improve upon pedestrian safety in the Village, the Ridgewood Police Department recently worked with the Signal Division to lay thermo-plastic stop signs at the intersection of Kenilworth Road and Laurel Road.
The Ridgewood Police Department has also placed directional signs, pointing to the lined crosswalk along East Ridgewood Avenue near the Cottage Place parking lot.

Outstanding! It is refreshing to see the Village investing in safety.
Yeah, but will drivers read them?
Exactly. They can’t see human beings in motion against stationary backdrops at intersections so what’s another sign that’s part of the scenery going to do?
Now need “Look Before Crossing” signs for pedestrians
More “citifying” of RW and removing of responsibility from drivers and pedestrians by treating them like idiot children who need constant prompting and monitoring.
It’s just another example of useless, feel-good virtue signaling cr@p that makes those in power pretend to be useful, while accomplishing nothing.
You can type ‘crap’. Much worse is written here.
A lot of these ppl act like “idiot children “. Driving while on phone, walking into st while on phone, speeding, jaywalking like there entitled to etc
