FORT LEE, NJ — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle just after midnight on Lemoine Avenue near Main Street, authorities said.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Deputy Chief of Detectives Jeff Angermeyer, Fort Lee Police responded around 12:30 a.m. to the scene of the crash. The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
The driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with law enforcement, officials confirmed.
Investigation Underway
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Task Force was notified and responded to assist Fort Lee Police in the investigation. The case is being directed by Chief Matthew Finck of the prosecutor’s office and Chief Matthew J. Hintze of the Fort Lee Police Department.
No additional details about the pedestrian’s condition or possible charges have been released at this time.
