GLEN ROCK, NJ — After more than three decades of dedicated service, Glen Rock is saying goodbye to Lenora Benjamin, who officially retired this week from her role as Borough Administrator and CFO.
Benjamin served the borough for 33 years, earning respect and admiration for her leadership, financial expertise, and steady guidance that ensured the smooth operation of local government. Borough officials expressed deep gratitude for her commitment to the community.
Steve Neale to Take Over Sept. 29
Stepping into the role will be Steve Neale, currently the Borough Administrator of Waldwick, who will officially begin as Glen Rock’s new Borough Administrator on September 29, 2025.
Neale is praised for bringing many of the same skills and qualities that defined Benjamin’s tenure, and officials say they are confident he will continue her legacy of effective leadership.
Interim Leadership in Place
Until Neale officially assumes the role, Donna Mollineaux will serve as Interim Borough Administrator and continue as Interim CFO until a permanent Chief Financial Officer is appointed.
Honoring a Legacy, Looking Ahead
Benjamin’s retirement marks the end of an era for Glen Rock’s municipal government, but borough leaders emphasized their excitement for this next chapter under Neale’s direction.
