Downed Tree Cleared On Stevens Avenue, Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ , As of 4:30 PM, the Ridgewood Police Department has already responded to dozens of downed trees in the Village, with the worst of the storm still expected. This tree fell in the 400 block of Stevens Avenue early Monday afternoon. A leaf collection crew, operating nearby with front end loaders, quickly cleared the roadway.

  1. I’m a little amazed that we haven’t lost power yet.

    In retrospect, PSE&G was smart to hire sub-contractors to clean the power lines of tree limbs last fall after the Halloween snow storm.

    Let’s hope our luck holds out…..

  2. Interesting that the leaf collecting crew will jump in and clear the downed tree. Back in May when the tree crew was 20 feet from my house cutting a neighbors broken tree limb and I spoke and pointed out to the crew chief the dangerous dead branches (3 of them) hanging from the town oak trees on my property. I asked if he could cut the dead and dangerous branches he refused and said” It didn’t fit into his schedule.” and suggested I called the town. I did and the town manager said they were going to take care of it, still waiting!!!

  3. I am happy to see all crews jumping in and helping out. If I had to guess you were probably rude to the guy and demanded it.. You seem like that type.

    Get a life.
