Serious Head Injury Reported in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Major Paramus Intersection; Traffic Stalled for Hours

PARAMUS, NJ – A chaotic scene unfolded late Wednesday afternoon, December 17, 2025, as a high-impact collision at one of Paramus’s busiest intersections left one driver seriously injured and caused massive traffic delays for holiday commuters.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Paramus Road and West Midland Avenue, involving a dark-colored four-door sedan and a PSE&G service van.
Serious Injuries Reported at the Scene
According to first responders, the force of the impact left the driver of the sedan with a significant head injury.
Paramus EMS (IAEP Local 201) arrived quickly on the scene to provide emergency care. The victim was stabilized and transported via ambulance to the main campus of Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) for specialized treatment.
Fortunately, authorities confirmed that no other injuries were reported among the occupants of the other vehicles or the PSE&G utility crew.
