Busted in Bergen: 75-Year-Old NY Man Charged After Alleged Spa Assault in Park Ridge

Park Ridge NJ, a Sunday morning at a local spa turned into a police investigation after a Monsey, NY, man allegedly harassed and assaulted an employee.
On Sunday, January 18, 2026, Park Ridge Police responded to a 911 call from a spa on Kinderkamack Road. According to authorities, David Neuman, 75, entered the establishment and made a series of disturbing inquiries before physically assaulting a female staff member.
The Incident: “Are You Fully Nude?”
The victim reported that Neuman entered the business around 11:51 AM and began asking about the services offered. The conversation quickly turned inappropriate when the suspect allegedly asked if the spa worker could perform her duties while fully naked.
According to the police press release:
- While making the illicit inquiry, Neuman allegedly placed his hand on the victim’s breast without consent.
- After being told to leave, Neuman was reportedly reluctant to exit the premises before eventually fleeing in a vehicle with New York plates.
The Capture: Stopped at the CVS Parking Lot
Witnesses were able to provide a vehicle description and a license plate number to 911 dispatchers. The information was broadcast to surrounding Bergen County jurisdictions.
Exactly one hour later, at 12:51 PM, Park Ridge Officer Carlos Alicea spotted the suspect’s vehicle traveling northbound on Kinderkamack Road. Neuman was pulled over in the CVS parking lot, where he was taken into custody without further incident.
Legal Charges and Court Date
David Neuman was transported to the Park Ridge Police Department and has been officially charged with:
- Fourth-Degree Criminal Sexual Contact
Following his processing, Neuman was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack on February 2, 2026.
