
60-Year-Old Upper Saddle River Man Arrested Following Shooting Incident on Hidden Glen Road

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ — A joint investigation by county and local law enforcement has led to the arrest of a 60-year-old resident following a shooting incident into an occupied residence in Upper Saddle River.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of Michael Norcia, who faces felony charges of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and third-degree endangering another person. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported.
SWAT Team Responds to Shots Fired into Home
On Friday, August 7, 2026, around 12:00 PM, the Upper Saddle River Police Department responded to emergency calls reporting gunfire directed at an occupied home on Hidden Glen Road.
Due to the nature of the call, the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team and the Saddle River Police Department initially deployed to secure the neighborhood and assist local officers.
Trajectory Analysis Pinpoints Bullet Origin
Detectives with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office launched a joint investigation to determine the origin of the gunfire. Investigators established that the shots came from the area of Mill Glen Court, located directly behind Hidden Glen Road.
“Further investigation revealed that the established trajectory for the path of one of the bullets was consistent with a direction originating from the area of Norcia’s property on Mill Glen Court,”

Following the trajectory findings, law enforcement executed a court-authorized search warrant at Norcia’s home, where officers recovered multiple firearms and ammunition.
Legal Proceedings and Ongoing Investigation
Norcia was taken into custody and remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a preliminary court appearance in Hackensack.
