SADDLE BROOK, NJ – A 39-year-old Bergen County man is facing serious charges following an intensive investigation into the possession of illegal digital materials. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Jakub Cielemecki on charges related to the possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
The arrest marks the culmination of a proactive investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office (BCPO) Cyber Crimes Unit, highlighting the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to monitor and combat internet-based crimes.
Details of the Investigation
The investigation began in January 2026, when detectives from the Cyber Crimes Unit identified Cielemecki during a broader inquiry into the distribution and possession of prohibited digital content.
According to officials, the months-long probe involved a court-authorized search of Cielemecki’s electronic devices. Forensic analysis of these devices allegedly revealed that Cielemecki had viewed, saved, and downloaded explicit materials depicting prepubescent and pubescent children.
