SADDLE BROOK, NJ – A 39-year-old Bergen County man is facing serious charges following an intensive investigation into the possession of illegal digital materials. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Jakub Cielemecki on charges related to the possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Huge Rise in “Sextortion” Crimes

Ridgewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office reminds everyone to use social media safely as our Cyber Crimes Unit has seen an uptick in sextortion scams. If you are a victim, report the crime to your local police department. The FBI has seen a huge increase in the number of cases involving children and teens being threatened and coerced into sending explicit images online—a crime called sextortion.
