According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, the incident began on Saturday, June 6, 2026, when the Englewood Police Department alerted the Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault.
The subsequent investigation revealed that 31-year-old Sebastian Nino-Lopez of Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, attempted to sexually assault a juvenile at Mackay Park in Englewood.
Severe Criminal Charges Filed Against Suspect
Following the multi-agency probe, law enforcement officers apprehended Nino-Lopez on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. He faces several serious statutory counts filed in the Garden State:
