Ridgewood Water Honored Nationally for Leadership in Lead Service Line Replacement

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Water continues to solidify its reputation as a national leader in clean water advocacy and safety.
Yolanda McCollom of Ridgewood Water recently joined industry pioneers in Washington, D.C., attending the American Water Works Association’s Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE26). McCollom was present for the Lead Service Line Collaborative’s highly anticipated Honoring Excellence in Lead Service Line Replacement Initiative awards ceremony.
Out of a competitive pool from across the United States, only 16 individuals and groups received national accolades. Among the distinguished winners was the Jersey Water Works (JWW) Lead Service Line Implementation Workgroup, which took home the prestigious Policy Innovation and Leadership Award.
A History of Local Leadership on Clean Water
Ridgewood Water’s connection to this vital safety initiative runs deep. The utility was a founding member of the JWW LSL Implementation Workgroup, with Ridgewood Water Director Richard Calbi Jr. initially serving as the group’s co-chair.
Building on that foundational success, Yolanda McCollom stepped into the role of co-chair in 2025. Since then, she has actively steered monthly workgroup meetings and represented the region at major water industry conferences, routinely sharing Ridgewood’s proven Lead Service Line (LSL) Replacement Program strategies and critical lessons learned.
This national recognition underscores Ridgewood Water’s ongoing commitment to removing lead infrastructure and ensuring the highest quality drinking water for the communities it serves.
