FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — A joint law enforcement investigation has led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Oakland, New Jersey man following allegations of repeated lewd conduct at a local gas station.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Manpreet Singh on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Singh, an employee at a Franklin Lakes gas station, faces multiple charges of lewdness after police received complaints regarding his conduct near customer vehicles.
Multiple Incidents Reported at Local Gas Station
The investigation began on Thursday, May 28, 2026, when the Franklin Lakes Police Department, under the direction of Chief Mark McCombs, contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit. The report detailed multiple alleged lewd incidents occurring at the Delta Gas Station located on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
A collaborative investigation conducted by both departments revealed that Singh allegedly committed the lewd acts on the gas station property while in close proximity to vehicles occupied by customers. According to detectives, Singh engaged in these acts on at least three separate occasions near unsuspecting drivers and passengers.
Arrest and Official Charges
Following the weeks-long probe, detectives arrested Manpreet Singh in Oakland, NJ. He has been officially charged with:

Following his processing, Singh was released from custody pending his first scheduled appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.
