Ridgewood Police Department Welcomes Three New Recruits to the Force

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Ridgewood Police Department is officially growing. In a formal ceremony on Wednesday, Ridgewood Mayor Paul Vagianos swore in three new police officer recruits: David Hefferan, Clinton Walker, and Joseph Bussinelli.
The swearing-in marks the beginning of an exciting and honorable career path for the three newest members of the Ridgewood community’s law enforcement family.
Next Stop: The Bergen County Police Academy
Following their official swearing-in ceremony, Recruits Hefferan, Walker, and Bussinelli didn’t waste any time getting to work. The trio began their rigorous official training at the Bergen County Police Academy yesterday.
The academy training program will equip them with the essential skills, physical conditioning, and legal knowledge required to protect and serve the residents of Ridgewood safely and effectively.

The Village of Ridgewood community and local leadership have expressed immense pride in the recruits’ commitment to public safety.
