Step back in time while enjoying local brews, live entertainment, and autumn fun at BaronFest 2026! Hosted by the Bergen County Historical Society, this annual Oktoberfest celebration honors Revolutionary War hero Major General Baron Friedrich von Steuben.
Join the festivities on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Historic New Bridge Landing in River Edge, New Jersey.

Craft Beer, Live Music & Local Food

Local Craft Beer: Sample pours from favorite Bergen County craft breweries, including Hackensack Brewery and Gearblock Brewery.

Live Music: Enjoy live performances by Particle Theory throughout the afternoon.

Historic House Tours: Tour three authentic 18th-century Jersey Dutch sandstone houses and the Westervelt-Thomas Barn.

Featured Exhibits at the 1752 Steuben House: Check out “What Did Washington Look Like?” alongside a newly acquired 1778 scrimshaw-decorated powder horn.

Open-Hearth Baking: Watch historical interpreters bake 18th-century gingerbread in the Jersey Dutch out kitchen using the original recipe and traditional carved molds of Baker General Christopher Ludwick.

Parking: Free parking available on site.

Public Transit: Take NJ TRANSIT’s Pascack Valley Line directly to the New Bridge Landing station, located right next to the historic grounds.

Pet Policy: Leashed dogs are welcome on the grounds (not permitted inside historic buildings).
All proceeds support the completion of the Bergen County Historical Society’s new museum under construction at Historic New Bridge Landing.
