NYC Mayor Bloomberg: Government has right to ‘infringe on your freedom’

The Washington Times
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Sunday: Sometimes government does know best. And in those cases, Americans should just cede their rights.
“I do think there are certain times we should infringe on your freedom,” Mr. Bloomberg said, during an appearance on NBC. He made the statement during discussion of his soda ban — just shot down by the courts — and insistence that his fight to control sugary drink portion sizes in the city would go forth.

When did this idiot become a communist?
always has been … just more public with his views now…
Perhaps the government knows best how to spend Bloomberg’s money. Mr. Bloomberg, please cede your rights to your money to the government.
He really wants to be KING Michael
People get real. The gov’t can, and does, impinge on our freedoms daily. Examples: going through security at the airport, speed limits, prisoners held at Quantanamo without any charges, needing to be 21 to drink.
I’m not saying these are bad things, just that this happens all the time. What Bloomberg said happens to be true
Bloomberg is like a nagging mother who never stops telling you whats good for you, even when he is wrong.
