Councilman Riche deserves an official retraction of accusations

To the Editor:
During three meetings of the Village Council on May 22, June 5 and June 12, a colorful assortment of adjectives was used by members of the public to describe the behavior of Mayor Paul Aronsohn, Deputy Mayor Albert Pucciarelli, and Councilwoman Gwenn Hauck, and the events surrounding their public treatment of fellow councilman Thomas Riche.
Descriptions included: despicable, flogging, besmirched, disgraceful, embarrassing, shameful, witch hunt and others. I have been heartened to see citizens turning out in great numbers at Village Council meetings to express their disgust with the mean-spirited behavior of these three elected officials.

It seems like Aronpuckhauck wants this whole thing to go away by just ignoring it. The public who elected them keeps speaking up about this, yet they are dead silent. What gives?
They are like a group of middle schoolers.
The public speaking up are trying to make mountains out of ant hills.
The public who are speaking up are those who the elected officials are supposed to be serving. Instead, the three elected officials are serving their own personal, arrogant agendas and not listening to the voices of reason who are imploring them to behave themselves and conduct themselves professionally. I have never seen such a level of nastiness and conceit coming from the council. They should be ashamed of themselves. Certainly the taxpayers are ashamed of them.
An apology to Tom Riche would hardly be enough, but it would be a start.
Really, so tell me how is it that you KNOW that the majority of residents feel the same way as you do….I sure don’t as a matter of fact I find it interesting that Mr. Riche didn’t have the smarts enough to know what he was doing was wrong…and correct me if I am wrong here but no one put a gun to Riches head and made him do work for the village. He did it for the money plain and simple and he got caught.
If this is not Pucc or Aron writing, then the it has to be Hawk
Whether you agree with Riche or not it is the way that these three handle themselves. Apparently they have never managed people or have had any dealings with proper procedure. Not one of them seems to understand the OPMA and they throw Roberts rules out the window.
I’m no big fan of Mr. Richie but Mrs. Hauck would have been better served if she passed on weighing in publicly on the Richie matter given her Valley affiliation. She seems to miss things that are obvious to others.

He was begged to help by the Village and agreed despite protestations and reservations.
Aronsohn voted to approve the allocation from his previous council seat. Now it’s a big shock?
Mr. Riche has given the Village thousands of dollars’ worth of free services and goods. Can A-P-H say the same?
Who doesn’t own a business “for the money”?
Well, three strikes and your OUT. Your not even close pal. If you have the guts, and you really do want to know tell me when and where you would like to meet. Doubtful you will reply.

I love it, an anonymous moron hiding behind the safety of the blog and acting like a big shot. what a blowhard. Who really cares who you are. Who really cares what you have to say. Clearly you are either the mayor, the deputy mayor, or the ditzy blonde. We all know that. Done and out.
Was the Tom Richie situation ever investigated by an outside agency ? or did it just get dropped?
It will not be investigated because everyone including the Village Council, Village Manager and Village Attorney knew about about it , and signed off on it . They would all have to be investigated which makes it DOA
