Ridgewood NJ, The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado struck Paramus on Monday .Officials have confirmed that an EF-1 tornado struck Paramus on Monday shortly before 3:20 p.m .near Bergen County Regional Medical Center at 230 East Ridgewood .
Tuesday cleanup centered on dozens of trees knocked down by high winds on Alpine Drive , Paramus Road , Pascack Road , North Fairview , and Ridgewood Aven
and when we called in to the d p w at 345pm no one was at the office. how come no one was on call or to pick up the phone or on the road. the police told us every one was sent home. what was that all about. how can this be when a storm tuched down at a next door town.
GW Cemetery and the RW Country Club got walloped….I saw at least 30 trees just uprooted out of the ground while perhaps 50 more had their tops cut off.
wow,you see.
I was driving slightly north of this area at 3:20 and saw where an enormous oak tree had been uprooted and thrown down across Old Hook Road in Emerson. Had to find another route by backtracking and going north up and around, but had no idea at the time that a tornado had struck. Scary!
