The Village of Ridgewood will split the bill for two initial studies needed to determine whether the property adjacent to its water treatment plant is a suitable location for a proposed vehicle maintenance facility. The Borough of Glen Rock, according to a resolution passed at last Wednesday’s Village Council meeting, will shoulder the other half of the total price tag.
On the same night, the Glen Rock Council verbally agreed to the terms, though a formal resolution had yet to come to a vote in the borough.
Governing bodies from each town agreed to evenly fund the professional service contract with Conklin Associates, Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors, which is tasked with completing a full feasibility study and truck-turning analysis of the village property located within Glen Rock. The Ramsey firm will be paid no more than $5,250 to perform both studies.
Ridgewood bypassed a public bidding process because the work is categorized as a professional service.

What a great idea. Storing rock salt, gasoline, diesel fuel, hydraulic oil, and garbage trucks laden with who knows what at a location prone to flooding. The proposed location is also smack dab in the middle of a quiet residential community.
Works for Valley Hospital… why not for the Maintenance Garage
this is not a goood thing.this is a scam if i ever seen one. you know what let the mayor and the council put up a office at the site.see if they like. people I think they should rent a tent and stay at the site when it smells real nice.then they will see.
Don’t worry Big Al the Developer Friend and his lawyer friend who needs the villages driveway have it all worked out
