Leaf Pick UP – December 23rd Update
Due to weather delays we are continuing to remove leaves in AREA C working up from Grove St. up towards Linwood Ave. The week of December 30th we should begin AREA D weather permitting. If weather permits we will return to Area A and B. This will take place after the 1st of the year some time.
You can also place leaves in a paper biodegradable bag and give us a call and we will pick them up. FREE LEAF BAGS are available at the Recycling Center while supplies last.
Landscape contractors that were unable to complete final clean ups due to snow covered lawns now have free license to resume dumping huge quantities of leaves on streets again.
Poor wording by the Village on this one. What should have been said is that the Village will resume collecting those leaves already deposited on streets; no additional leaves are allowed to be deposited.
Watch; we will now have another major snowfall after new leaves have been dumped and before the Street Department crews get a chance to clean them up.

the crew will do the best that they can . they only have 6 workers left. they had 27 at one time.
just like the police had 50 at one time but they have 44 now. the village did not refill the job opinings . so don’t blame the workers blame the top managers and council and mayor for not putting on workers. it is a real shame.
some say what happend the leaves came down fast.
what happend a big loss in man power thats what happened. the street dept can not keep up with all the work that needs to be done with 7 workers. they need help.and the village got 15 fe ma workers for free foe two years. now they are gone.and the council thinks ok we will just hire part time help it will be ok. no it dont work. wake up people.

some people say what happend to all the workers. what happend to the money. well we had a worker from village hall steel a lot of money from the tap for a few years and it hurt us all.
how come no one is talking about that,hummmmmmmm.
did any ones taxs go down, but so what happend to my tax money from the 20 workers that we never replaced. we are talking 20 in one dept.
well did it go to fire and police.
to all the mayor and council need to fix this now. have a sit down with the workers it’s time. it’s 2014. stop the bull shit and talk to the real boss, we all know who he is.???
