That newbie stuff is getting old. Take a look at the Board of Education members. Not one of them is a so called “newbie” and time and again they have dished out our tax dollars as if they were printing the currency in the basement of Cottage Place. It was not the “newbies” who manipulated and pushed the December bond referendum: it was deeply entrenched sports families, who have been in town forever, along with long term BOE members. The lights are the result of the same alliance. Brogan has been on the BOE since 1996 – Reilly from 1990 – 2005 and elected again last year while Hutton is on his 3rd 3 year term. Lenhard has been on for a number of years and prior to that was the #1 cheerleader of the “vote Yes for the BOE budget” pushing for more and more BOE funding and higher salaries. These are not “Newbies” so stop blaming the Newcomers for the problems. We should be happy they want to invest in our village.

I agree with the original post that the Village is changing. The contractor who wants to build on the corner of Ridgewood and Walthery should be told “no thanks” as should be Maple/Franklin corner and Valley! No to all of them! Preserve the Village!
