A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
And odd even days may be lifted ?
Don’t hold your breath.
The restrictions are in place until Aug 31st. No amount of rainfall is going to change this.
Then ridgewood water is going to say that they didn’t sell enough water and they will have to raise the rates.
@4:44, cause it’s just so hard for you to wait a day?
(sigh) Okay, let me explain this once again . . . .
Ridgewoods water comes from an aquifer, not surface waters. It would take years of drought/flooding to impact the groundwaterwater supply (if at all . . . drinking water is usually from a deep, isolated aquifer) and THAT would take decades to actually impact us. So, the amount of water available to Ridgewood has nothing to do with rainfall or lack thereof.
The water restrictions are in place because we cannot pump enough water to supply high demand AND ensure that there is a safe reserve to address an emergency. That’s why we have restrictions. If everyone is using water at the same time, the demand will exceed the ability to pump AND maintain a reserve.
Storm events lead to surface water runoff (hence flooding), not aquifer replenishment (especially not drinking water aquifers).
BUT MY LAWN CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW EVEN THOUGH IT IS RAINING TODAY!!! HURRR!!!
Love when #7 uses CAPS….!
He must be a second generation Villager.,…!!
