Ridgewood NJ, School board incumbent Vince Loncto is running unopposed for another three-year term on the five-member Ridgewood Board of Education. Loncto currently serves as BOE vice president.
In 2013, the Ridgewood school board voted to move its election from April to the general election in November. The move also eliminated the public vote on the school budget, as long as the annual school tax increase remains under 2 percent. Election Day is now Tuesday, Nov. 3.
You snooze, you lose. Shame on anyone who wanted to run for not knowing when the packets would be available. Next year expect the Village Council to also try the same thing. Be alert all!
If you can’t figure out when to get a petition in, you have no business being an elected official. The information is on multiple websites.
where please ???? with links thank you
Yes, James is right where was this position posted?
All the information you needed was found in websites of the NJ School Boards Assn and the Bergen County Board of Elections ….well ahead of the 7/27 deadline. Local BOE offices had nothing to do with the nominating process after the move to the November general election.

based on what 1:47pm said, I found https://www.njsba.org/about/candidacy/
1:47 Well it would be nice if an article stating this was published in the Ridgewood news and stated a few time at the BOED meeting. You know for Transparency. The BOED has no problem spreading the news in all the media outlet when when it behoves them.
