Reader implies Borgart and Cambridge Parking Issue is More About Personalities

Go visit the street. It’s a known safety issue. This issue has been created by one lady who doesn’t like the person who asked for the ordinance. It’s just kind of funny because everyone in the neighborhood knows that is the deal.
Hey. As long as the one lady gets vengeance who cares if kids are in danger right??
Some of the rest of us in this neighborhood are able to see the actual danger and would like the nonsense to stop.
Not every street in town is the same. Parking can’t be uniform throughout the village.
When something dangerous rears its head it needs to have a venue to be addressed. Won’t Betty rubble coming out of the woodwork to create a dramatic situation.

  1. It’s sad that the post above is anonymous and the author is correct in that it’s about personalities. It’s the person who asked for the ordinance who is running amok. Attacking the neighbor who was one of MANY neighbors who are AGAINST the ordinance is harassment and has to stop. We DON”T want this ordinance and the person who sponsored it was supposed to inform neighbors and chose not to because she’s getting too big for her britches and has decided she’s in charge of our respective streets. It’s a shame that this neighbor doesn’t know how to be a good neighbor and doesn’t care that she is burning bridges.

  2. As I listened to the comments and saw the crowd last night what I took away is that a few people who walked kids to school 20 years ago didn’t have a safety issue.
Yeah. Less cars. Less site actions. Things aren’t the same as they were. Get with the times. Keep to the issue
It’s a safety issue. Fix it. Get used to it and move on.

  3. It seems like this ordinance does not address the actual safety issue, which is bad drivers.

  4. There are just as as many cars as there were 20 years ago. These two blocks have little traffic, are not speedways and anybody driving on them are generally driving to one of the houses on the block.

  5. Vor has a one way Charlie policy..once invoked it is delay and deny game..look at the parking rate increases and late 2016 employee parking slots and commuter parking pass fiasco .

More Signs and more signs…once up they are up and installed with one way screws..all pointing at screwing homeowners investments and street parking rights while poaching our wallets and freedoms..

  6. 11:16. Let’s survey your homes street and hammer on your simple rights to park a car during a sunny day without the brain police interjecting
their expert opinions on a set of homeowners who invested in those homes long ago with certain rights implied. No less millions in taxes paid to the VOR FOR THEIR FAILING WISDOMS.

  7. Just for the record There are 3 residents of these 2 streets that are in agreement with Melanie and her council buddy. The rest of us are with the times and have never seen that there is unusual parking , other than on the circle that poses a safety issue. And it hasn’t been 20 years ago for most of us. If this neighborhood is so dangerous why don’t you move somewhere else instead of trying to change a neighborhood that has always been loving close and supportive of each other until … moved in.
