Ridgewood NJ, the fleet has a new member , the Ridgewood hook truck has arrived.
According to Village Manager Keith Kazmark ,”This new addition serves multi-purposes, including: salting and plowing, applying brine, filling water barricades and will be used as a general haul truck to transport and dispose of yard waste, grindings, dirt, rock, street sweepings, snow and debris.”
Simply put, a hooklift truck is a heavy-duty truck chassis that’s been fitted with a hydraulic hooklift hoist. The hydraulic hoist system lets contractors, municipalities and other work vehicle users roll on and roll off different truck bodies or containers.

Just a question and why we buying all new trucks with different colors. In the past usually the fleet was one complete color now we have all these multiple different colors. It’s one big rainbow.
And now the pressure is on For the employees and keeping all these new trucks clean. And we wonder how that’s going to be done, does the village have a professional track cleaning service that comes ion too clean them.

Yes, so very true the village should hire an outside professional truck cleaning company that comes in with high-pressure and steam, and the proper cleaners and disposal of harmful Greece.
It’s a smart investment. if not watch what these vehicles will look like in five years.
What is the big deal about color, who cares. As long as they get the jobs done
U must be a bad dresser, it’s called matching.
What’s the big deal? Well, would you like to see your United States Army all different colors no when you look at a company all the vehicles match, they don’t have mismatch colors. Yes the vehicles will get the job done. But we’re not talking about that. Talking about , morale, respect, the principles of the village . do you see the police department cop cars all different colors no. When you look at other towns, they all have the same matching color vehicles. That’s all it’s not that easy. We say white, orange, blue, now red, all in department. Who’s coming up with this idea. Personally, I really don’t give two shits, people on the street are talking, and other towns are talking and laughing. So whoever came up with the idea, looks pretty stupid what an eye sore. Now that the village manager is taking pictures of all these new vehicles, which is all well and good, let’s see how they look three years down the road. Then talk, who is going to be washing them and waxing them properly. Not the village, maybe an outside contract will work, enjoy.
Is that why we get all those out of towners coming to ridgewood, just to see our colored trucks.
We should only have white here. That way we can easily spot a truck that doesn’t belong here.
Did this all start when they let that guy from south of us into our town?
This never would have happened when we were only giving jobs to people who were kids of people in charge.
And another thing, once we get back to all white, we need to wash them trucks every day just in case the dirt makes them look dark.

Saw a dark green, Street Department truck today, the police vehicles have not been a consistent color scheme since moving to SUV’s but did not see any intercourse here.
Think we have a vocal village worker with a spur in their saddle.
