We have long written on this blog about the “Failure Generation” and their Millennial offspring , so what are your thoughts , temporary phenomenon or the beginning of the end ?
When all of the growth in goverment spending gets inhaled by entitlement spending on state dependents and lifetime defined benefit pensions & free healthcare for public sector retirees, there is nothing left for tax credits for R&D and new investment by growth industries, not to mention new investment in ports, rail & road that are the backbone of the economy. If we encourage people to take risks and reward them handsomely when they succeed, they’ll create new jobs and new investment. Instead, we penalize them for being successful and complain about their income and lifestyle. We see this played out on this blog every day. There is no such thing as a life of ease without effort.
