Ridgewood NJ, Christmas remains the nation’s most important holiday, Americans say, and more plan to attend religious services to celebrate the holiday this year.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 44% of American Adults will attend a religious service this holiday season. That’s up from 39% last year, when the COVID-19 pandemic suppressed attendance,  but not as high as the 49% who planned to attend religious services in 2019, before the pandemic. Forty-three percent (43%) won’t attend holiday religious services this year, and 13% say they’re not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
